“Thank you for visiting the POSTECH Animal Experiment Ethics Committee website.”
Recently, studies using experiment animals have been progressing not only quantitatively but also qualitatively. The importance of animal experiments has become very significant, and their importance is widely recognized among researchers.
In accordance with this background and the 'Animal Protection Law' and 'Laboratory Animals Law', the POSTECH Animal Experiment Ethics Committee was organized in October 2008 and began operation.
In recent years, researchers in various fields, such as the Department of Life Sciences, the Department of Chemistry, the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and the Department of Advanced Materials Science and Engineering, have conducted animal experiments, and the role of the committee is increasing.
As the number of animal experimenters increases, the committee has established an online animal study plan review system to improve the animal experiment research environment. This system will be able to meet the management guidelines set by the related laws.
The POSTECH Animal Experiment Ethics Committee is committed to making researchers more devoted to animal experiments while raising awareness of ethical and life respect for practitioners of animal experiments.
