Chapter 1: General rule

Article 1 Purpose

The purpose of these Terms and Conditions is to prescribe the obligations and responsibilities of the site and users in using POSTECH Animal Experimentation Ethics Committee (hereinafter referred to as "the Committee") Internet homepage service (hereinafter referred to as "service").

Article 2 Definitions

1. "Site" means a virtual space set up by the Committee to provide information and communication facilities such as computers.
2. "Service" means all services on the Internet provided by the Committee's homepage and Internet sites operated by the Committee.
3. "Member (User)" means the person who agrees to these Terms and Conditions, signs on the Internet homepage, and receives the services provided by the Committee pursuant to these Terms and Conditions.
4. "Operator" means the person selected by the committee for overall management and smooth operation of the service.
5. "Password" means the password protected by the member himself / herself, which is a combination of English, numeric, alphabetic and numeric characters approved by the company and confirmed by the member himself / It refers to a character.
6. "Personal information" means information that can identify a specific individual based on the name and other information contained in the information.
   - Members are classified as Standby, Regular, and Operator, and each member has the following rights.
   - Standby member: Member who subscribed through the homepage of the committee
   - Regular members: Members who can use POSTECH related Internet services through the committee homepage.
   - Operator: The ID issued by the top operator to manage the homepage of the committee website. Operate / manage the homepage within the scope of the authority assigned to each operator.

Article 3 Posting and Modification of Terms

1. This Agreement shall become effective upon notice by the Committee on the service screen or by other means notifying the Member.
2. The Committee may amend these Terms and Conditions to the extent that it does not violate the relevant laws and regulations, if unavoidable circumstances exist.
3. The Committee may change these Terms of Use in case of change for any reason and in case of business important reasons, and the changed Terms shall come into effect by notifying or notifying in the same way as the preceding paragraph.
4. Unless otherwise stipulated in these Terms and Conditions, the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the relevant laws and regulations.

Article 4 Contents and Modifications of Services

1. The POSTECH Animal Experimental Ethics Committee provides the following services:
   - General guidance services provided by the Animal Experiment Ethics Committee
   - Animal Ethics Committee related services
   - Services set by other POSTECH Animal Experiment Ethics Committee
   

Article 5 Suspension of Service

1. The Committee may limit or suspend service for a certain period of time due to unavoidable reasons such as system maintenance, breakdown, temporary communication failure, service development, systematic inspection, urgent measures, etc.
2. The Committee shall not indemnify the User or any third party for any damages incurred due to temporary interruption in service provision for the reasons set forth in Paragraph (1). However, this is not the case if there is intentional or gross negligence of the committee.

Chapter 2 Membership and Withdrawal

Article 6 Membership

1. The user submits the member information according to the form set by the committee and then signs the agreement to agree to the terms and conditions.
2. The committee shall register as a member of the users who apply to join as a member as described in the preceding paragraph, unless they fall under the following subparagraphs.
   • If you applied using someone else's name
   • If the applicant has previously lost his / her membership pursuant to Article 7 (2) of this Agreement
   • If the contents of the application for membership are false, omission, or In case of misrepresentation
   • If it is deemed that the registration of other members is significantly impeded by the performance of the POSTECH Biotech Center.
3. The membership registration contract shall be established at the time when the membership application is submitted.
4. When a member changes his / her personal information, he / she shall modify it via the Internet or notify the Committee by wire

Article 7 Withdrawal from membership and loss of qualification

1. Members may request to withdraw from the Commission at any time, and the POSTECH Biotech Center will immediately process the withdrawal of membership.
2. If the member falls under any of the following grounds, the POSTECH Biotech center may lose your membership.
   • Falsified information in member information
   • If it threatens order by interfering with the use of other people's services or stealing the information
   • If the information obtained from the service is provided to a third party without the permission of the POSTECH or committee other than personal use of the member
   • If you change the information provided on the committee, or if you interrupt the operation of the website
   • If it is deemed improper to continue eligibility as a member

Article 8 Re-entry of Members

If a former member withdraws a member pursuant to the provisions of Article 7 of this Agreement wishes to re-enter, he / she may register in accordance with Article 6 of this Agreement.

Chapter 3 Protection of Personal Information

Article 9 Collection of Personal Information

1. The Committee may collect personally identifiable information of the users necessary for the smooth use of the Services.
2. When collecting personal information of user, except for the following cases, we will get the user's consent.
• If there are special regulations in the law
• When necessary for the fulfillment of service use contract
3. The Committee shall take the necessary technical measures to ensure the safety of personal information so that it is not lost, stolen, leaked, or tampered with.
4. Personal information provided can not be used for purposes other than without the consent of the user or provided to a third party. However, the following cases shall be excluded.
   • If there are special regulations in the law
   • User authentication procedure
   • When it is necessary for the settlement of the charge and the delivery according to the provision of the service
   • Utilizing the committee homepage as a smooth operation and statistical analysis data
   • Providing a form that can not identify a specific individual as necessary for statistical writing / academic research or market research.

Chapter 4 Duties of University and User

Article 10 Obligations of the POSTECH Biotech Center

1. The Committee is obligated to provide reliable and consistent service as set forth in these Terms and Conditions, unless there are special circumstances such as system inspection and service development, communication problems or other force majeure events
2. The Committee makes every effort to ensure the security of the user's information by taking technical safety measures against the security of personal information including the user's credit information.
3. Members may view their personal information at any time and ask the committee or information manager to correct any misinformation.
4. The Committee will not send you any commercial e-mails that you do not want for profit.

Article 11 Obligations of User

1. The user shall not engage in any of the following acts when using the service.
   • Registration of false contents when applying or changing
   • Misuse of passwords other than your own
   • Changes to information posted on the homepage
   • To use, copy, process, translate, or make derivative works of the information obtained through the use of the service, in addition to the personal use of the member, to reproduce, perform, broadcast, exhibit, distribute
   • To impair or disadvantage others' honor
   • Infringe POSTECH's copyright or other rights of third parties
   • Distributing information, sentences, figures, voices, etc. that are in violation of public order and morals and customs to others;
   • An act that is objectively recognized as being associated with a crime
   • To register or distribute computer virus infectious material which causes malfunction of facilities related to service and destruction and confusion of information.
   • Transmit information that may interfere with the stable operation of the service or transmit the advertisement information against the intention of the recipient
   • Acts that violate other related laws and regulations.
2. The user must fulfill the following obligations regarding the use of the ID and password when using the service.
   • You must use your ID and password when using the service.
   • You are responsible for all management of your ID and password.
   • You must not allow your ID and password to be used by a third party.
   • User shall bear all responsibility for the failure of management of user's ID and password.
   • If the user recognizes that his / her ID and password are stolen or used by a third party, he / she should notify the committee immediately and follow the instructions of the committee.

Chapter 5 Other

Article 12 Restrictions on Use and Restriction of Copyright

1. The Copyright and other Intellectual Property Rights of the Works, the Committee will belong to POSTECH.
2. Users should not use the information obtained by using the homepage for commercial purposes or use them for third parties by copying, transmitting, publishing, distributing, broadcasting or other means without prior consent of the committee.

Article 13 Dispute Resolution

1. The Commissioner shall make all necessary efforts to resolve disputes arising in connection with the Services.
2. The Committee shall deal with complaints and comments submitted by users with priority. However, if it is difficult to process it promptly, the user will be informed promptly of the reason and processing schedule
